Madison resident and Warren County native Barry Paul Simons, 59, was born Oct. 2, 1958 and died Oct. 5 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga following an extended illness.A welder with Real Steel Fabricators in Old Hickory and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Walling Todd “Buster” and Barbara McGee Simons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Aubrey W. and Anna Belle Todd Simons; and maternal grandparents, William Jennings Bryan and Gladys Rhea McGee.He is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Randy Morton of McMinnville; niece, Krystal Sankolewicz and husband Josh of Rockvale; nephew, Brandon Morton and wife Leona of McMinnville; great-nephews, Luke Sankolewicz of Rockvale, Riley Morton of McMinnville, and Jasper and Corbin Morton of McMinnville; and great-niece, Anela Morton of McMinnville. A graveside service and interment were held Saturday, Oct. 7 at Shellsford Cemetery with Jon Ballard officiating.
