McMinnville resident and Warren County native Barbara S. Blackburn, 81, was born Sept. 13, 1931 and died April 5 at River Park Hospital.A retired LPN with River Park Hospital and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ernest F. and Fannie Mae Tallent Smith Sr. She was married to Frank James Blackburn, who preceded her in death.Mrs. Blackburn is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Frankie Holland of Murfreesboro, and Beth Black and Carla and John Brown, all of McMinnville; son, James Blackburn of McMinnville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, E.F. Smith of McMinnville and Walton Smith of Rock Island and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service and interment was held Monday at Stroud Cemetery with Steven Brown officiating.High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.)
