McMinnville resident and Warren County native Aubrey D. “PaPa” Green, 92, was born Sept. 21, 1930 and died May 13, 2023 at his residence following a short illness.
Aubrey was a TSGT with the US Air Force with 19 years of service, retiring in 1972. His duties included being a photo technician, aerial film processor and base photographer at Craig AFB in Ala. His overseas assignments were in Germany, England and Vietnam. He was also a veteran of the US Army and Korea with the 25 Infantry Division in 1952.
A retired computer designer with Durango Boot Company and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Isaac Hill and Earlie Mae Green. He was married to Eunice Marlene Campbell on July 15, 1972, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur H. Green; sister, Louise Miller; and very special cousin, Virgle L. Greene.
Mr. Green is survived by children, Debora Bouldin of McMinnville, Judy (Stacey) Keel of Spencer and David Sullins of Rock Island; grandchildren, Dustie (Jesus) Betancourt, Casey (Miguel) Betancourt and J.C. (Danae) Bouldin; great-grandchildren, Dominique (Taylan) Betancourt, Cierrah, Cloey, Aiden, Dawson, Dyllan and Sofiah Bettancourt and Jax and Dash Bouldin; sister, Annie M. Pelham of McMinnville; very special niece, Beverly (Pat) Greene and a host of other nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16 in High’s Chapel with Tim Long officiating. Interment followed in Salem Cemetery. Visitation was Monday from noon until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Full military honors were administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
