McMinnville resident Ashlyn N. Barnes, 17, died May 9 at River Park Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A Warren County High School student who formerly attended Eastside Elementary and a member of Pioneer Community Baptist Church, she was the daughter of Gina G. Lance and Allen W. Barnes.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister, Sarah E. Barnes of Hendersonville; brothers, Travis A. Barnes of McMinnville, and Charles “Chase” B. Barnes of Hendersonville; paternal grandparents, Billy Jack and Alice Barnes of McMinnville; adopted grandparents, Albert and Sue Sinks of McMinnville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Roy H. Lance and Varina L. (Passons) Lance, paternal grandfather, Alvia G. Campbell; and uncle, Vince L. Lance.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Gary Few officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in White County. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. The guest book may be signed by visiting
