Anthony B. Sorren Sr., 79, a McMinnville resident and Newark, N.J. native, was born Oct. 15, 1942 and died Oct. 27 at TriStar Stone Crest Memorial Hospital in Smyrna following an extended illness.

He was a retired security guard, a United States Army veteran, and the son of the late Charles and Ruth Spreight Sorren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Bonnie Graham Sorren.

Mr. Sorren is survived by three sons, Anthony B. Sorren Jr., Richard B. Sorren, and Kenneth B. Sorren, all of McMinnville, stepdaughter Laura Tagsold of Michigan, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Per his request, Mr. Sorren will be cremated. No services will be held at High’s.
