Annie Pearl Owens Gleason, 100, a McMinnville resident and Rutherford County native, was born June 10, 1917 and died Dec. 21 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness. She was a retired employee of Kmart, member of Smartt First Baptist Church, and daughter of the late Claude and Mattie Lou Ragsdale Owens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Denzel Gleason; sister Hazel Knox; and brother John Owens.
