Mrs. Annie Ellen Cannon, 88, of Rock Island (Midway community) died Friday, May 28, at her residence. 

She was born May 12, 1933, in McMinnville, was a retired supervisor with Oster Corporation, and a member of Berea Church of Christ. Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by parents Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Womack Glenn, husband Joe Cannon, brothers Clayton (Jenny Mae) Glenn and R.H. Glenn, and one great-grandson Cory Preston Cannon.

Survivors include her sons Glenn (Kathy) Cannon and Benny (Vanessa) Cannon, grandchildren Jennifer Owens, Jeremy (Melissa) Cannon, Jackie Hildreth, Ben (Katelyn) Cannon, Lynn (Kristina) Cannon, and Justin (Kim) Cannon, 14 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law Roy Cannon Sr., and sister-in-law Audrey Cline Mullican. 

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 31, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Richard Bowman and Bro. Wayne Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Old Bybee Cemetery. The Cannon family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
