Alvia Jean Myers, 79, of McMinnville died Saturday, Feb. 1 at her residence.She was born in Smithville on Sept. 8, 1934, a daughter of the late Sarah (Arnold) and Stokie B. Adcock.She is survived by three sons, Jimmy M. Myers and wife Denise of Athens, Jeffrey D. Myers and wife Dawn of McMinnville, Kirk Myers and wife Tonya of Morrison; 11 grandchildren, Robin Mason, Rachel Myers, Kali Myers, Brianna Waddell, Dakota Nunley, Blake Jennings, Marina Nichols, Cassie Sneed, Preston Moore, Jessie Devore, and Jalena Stafford; three great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Mason, Lilly Mason, and Bryson Mason; brother, Bill Adcock of California; best friends, Mary “Rusty” Hillis, and Linda and Bill Richards.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy F. Myers; three sons Christopher L., Barry, Gary Myers; daughter, Kimberly Myers; daughter-in-law, Sheri Smallwood; three brothers, Gordon, Jewel, Ewin L. Adcock; two sisters, Elizabeth McMillen and Ruby LaNeve.Funeral services were held Monday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Bobby Vickers officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery McMinnville.
