Alton Aubrey Patrick, 95

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Alton Aubrey Patrick, 95, was born Feb. 9, 1925 and died Oct. 15 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville following a brief illness.

The owner/ operator of Cumberland Sheet Metal, a United States Navy veteran of World War II, and Deacon Emeritus at First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Ivor and Hallie Milstead Patrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Leon Patrick, J.R. Patrick, Betty Taylor, Geneva Crouch and Joanna Pack.

He was married to Elizabeth Martin Patrick of McMinnville. In addition to his wife of 73 years, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Bill Zechman, Janice and Dr. Billy Tanner, and Debbie Patrick, all of McMinnville, six grandchildren Christie Bryson, Leslie Zechman, Lauren Denney, Mary Wade, Patrick Davis, and Benjamin Davis, eight great-grandchildren, Daniel Troglen, Aaron Troglen, Luke Troglen, Bliss Zechman, Tallulah Zechman-Watson, Flannery Bryson, Rex Denney, and Esther Denney, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Mt. View Cemetery with Bo Hendrix and Dr. Jeff Owens officiating. Military grave rites will be administered by the American Legion Post 173 Honor Guard. There will be no public visitation at High’s. Friends are to meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home or Meals on Wheels. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
