Allen Trail Morton, 83, a Warren County resident and DeKalb County native, was born Oct. 31, 1935 and passed away Dec. 5 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, self-employed nurseryman, and son of the late Robert and Rosie Whitworth Morton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Judkins Morton; daughter Lisa Morton McCormick; brother John Morton; and sisters Lucille Green, Pearl Green and Peggy Watts.

Survivors include children, Rose Sims and Tim Morton and wife Kathy, all of McMinnville, and Wilma Caswell of Smithville; grandchildren Allen Sims, Adam McCormick, Chris Sims, Nicholas McCormick, Johnathon Thatch and Nicholas Morton; great-grandchildren Maddox Sims, Riley Sims, Aubree Sims and Tucker McCormick; and brother Robert Morton of McMinnville.
