Morrison resident and Warren County native Alice Dorothy Steele, 95, was born Aug. 30, 1923 and died May 31 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following a sudden illness.

Retired from Genesco, she was the daughter of the late Dudley and Allie Hobbs Carr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Nicholas Benjamin Steele; brothers, Charles and Jim Carr; and sister, Ruby Denton.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Ruchelle Steele of McMinnville and Nick and Jenene Steele of McMinnville; two grandchildren, T. Ryan Steele of McMinnville and Taylor (Dustin) Stoetzel of McMinnville; four great-grandchildren Calin Ryan Steele, Tyler Steele, Kaitlyn Steele, and Ezra Stoetzel, all of McMinnville, and special cousin Billie Bush.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at Bascom Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the church. Inurnment will be held at Bascom Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
