Seniors enjoy annual day of activities

Another fun day was had by senior citizens of all ages at the annual Senior Citizens Beauty Show and Fun Festival during Warren County A&L Fair activities. The event is sponsored by the McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center.
The morning’s activities started with emcee Raymond Adcock offering a prayer, and Kelly Walker-Slaughter singing the national anthem. Brothers Jake and Will Mayes led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Senior citizens were able to get blood pressure checks from Suncrest, NHC and Intrepid Home Health agencies.
They also enjoyed playing games of Bingo and hoping for some luck winning the various door prizes donated by area businesses.
Over 300 boxed lunches were provided by many generous businesses and graciously served to the recipients by volunteers.
Probably the most fun was had watching and participating in the numerous contests available to seniors. Winners in the various categories include:
