Sara Shea Womack became the bride of Russell Glynn Prater in a ceremony presented at First Baptist Church.

Sara Shea Womack and Russell Glynn Prater were united in marriage at First Baptist Church on Oct. 21. The ceremony was officiated by Bo Hendrix, with Starr McVey providing piano selections.

Miss Womack is the daughter of Jeff and Donna Womack of Morrison. Her grandparents are Benton and Betty Womack,
and Lowell and the late Patty Haston.
The bridegroom is the son of Derek and Lisa Coates, and Kenny Prater. His grandparents are Mary Ann and the late Ira Rumley, Leonard Prater of Portland, and Faye Prater.

Church sanctuary decorations featured a waterfall of white and gold tulle flowing from the baptistery to the stage. Tulle and baby’s breath adorned the pews. Red flowers and live ferns placed on columns decorated the stage.

Jeff Womack escorted his daughter, who wore a satin A-line strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline accented with clear beading and lace. The tulle skirt fell into a sweep train. She chose a simple tulle fingertip veil, and carried a cascading bouquet featuring shades of red, burgundy and white flowers among assorted greenery.

Susie Brown was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Haley Jones, Brenn Dowdy and Blair Fisher. They were attired in floor-length burgundy chiffon dresses. Each carried white rose and baby’s breath bouquets.

Mallory Rumley, the groom’s cousin, was the flower girl. She wore a white lace dress and scattered red satin flower petals. The ring bearer was Landon Rumley.

Logan Moore was chosen as the groom’s best man. Groomsmen were Tyler Stoner, Patrick Mullican and Adam Prater.
A reception was given in honor of the couple at the Bridgestone Union Hall. Tables held vases of flowers, personalized Hershey’s Kisses and floating beads. Fall foliage, lit trees and golden poms adorned the walkway. The entryway was marked with burgundy mums.

A four-tiered cinnamon cake was the centerpiece on the bride’s table. The creation was decorated with fresh burgundy and white flowers. The groom’s cake was a single layer yellow cake, decorated to look like galaxies. Reception servers included Tena Self, Angel Warden and Yvonne Hendrix.

The new Mrs. Prater is a graduate of Warren County High School and Tennessee Technological University, earning a degree in merchandising and design. Her husband is also a WCHS graduate. He earned a BS in wildlife, forestry and fish from TTU.

Following a honeymoon to Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., they are residing in Rock Island.
