Westwood Church of Christ’s 64th anniversary and homecoming will be held Sunday. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., with Bible study at 10:30 a.m.
The guest speaker of the day will be Dr. Tom Riley, who began as interim minister for Westwood in April, 2016. He recently has been added to the faculty at Lipscomb University. Dr. Riley has served as preaching minister at various congregations throughout the country and has served in the mission field.
Dr. Riley has a doctorate in ministry from Abilene Christian University, and degrees from Lipscomb University and Harding School of Theology. He has written three books, including “Dying to Live Again,” “Praying with Jesus” and “The Mighty Acts of God.”
He and his wife, Anne, have been married 36 years and have a daughter, Emily Riley Guerrero (Cesar), son Jim, and two grandchildren.
Westwood Church of Christ is located at 511 Morrison Street, and everyone is invited to attend this special day. A lunch will be provided following the service.
