Live Nation has announced U2 will be headlining this year’s Bonnaroo Music Festival, set for June 8-11 in Manchester.The complete Bonnaroo lineup is scheduled to be released Wednesday morning, Jan. 11, at 7 a.m.U2 is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its signature album and each concert will include a performance of “The Joshua Tree” in its entirety. It will be the first time for U2 to headline a music festival in the United States.Released to universal acclaim on March 9, 1987 and featuring hit singles “With Or Without You,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “Where The Streets Have No Name,” “The Joshua Tree” was U2’s first No. 1 album in the U.S., selling in excess of 25 million albums worldwide, and catapulting Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. into superstars.Time Magazine put U2 on its cover in April 1987, proclaiming the band “Rock’s Hottest Ticket.”
U2 to play Bonnaroo
