You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day. It’s the holiday that magically transforms folks’ heritage, only if it’s just for one day.
St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated each year on March 17, with some cities having parades, parties and various celebrations highlighting the Irish.
Locally, a St. Patty’s Day Breakfast is planned to take place at the McMinnville Warren County Senior Center at 809 Morrison Street. The menu consists of country ham, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and hashbrown potatoes, complete with orange juice and coffee. Serving will be from 8 – 10:30 a.m. with a charge of $6 per person. Take-outs are available.
The day is sponsored by the Senior Center and the UCHRA Nutrition, and the public is invited to attend. Entertainment will be presented by the St. Patty’s Irish Jig Dancers. Following the breakfast, County Executive Hershel Wells will be the guest speaker. He will be followed with Grand Bingo at 11:15 a.m.
