Feb. 21 is the deadline set for entry into the Snow Princess Pageants. The pageants are scheduled for March 4 starting at 12:30 p.m. and concluding with the last pageant starting at 6 p.m. All activities will take place in the Warren County High School auditorium.
All proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville, Inc. according to pageant director Susan Burks.
Contestant categories and starting times are: 0-11 months at 12:30 p.m.; 12-23 months at 1 p.m.; 24 months – 3 years at 1:30 p.m.; 4 - 6 years at 2 p.m.; 7 - 9 years at 3 p.m.; 10 - 12 years at 4 p.m.; 13 - 15 at 5 p.m.; and 16 and up at 6 p.m.
A winner, three runners-up, people’s choice, snow queen (community relations) and optional categories including hair, eyes, dress, smile and personality will be in each category. The People’s Choice Award is presented to the contestant receiving the most monetary votes per category.
To win the snow queen community relations award, the contestant bringing in the most nonperishable food or supply items, will receive a crown and sash. The donated items will be taken to the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville.
A partial list of suggested items include individually wrapped cheese and crackers, cookies, Little Debbie snack cakes, juice boxes, microwave popcorn, regular coffee, Ramen noodles, fruit cups, breakfast bars, spray and Clorox wipes and dishwasher detergent.
Entry fees are $35 if entered before Feb. 21, or $45 for registration at the door. Door registration starts at 11:30 p.m.
