The Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability has partnered with local Walgreens locations across the region to educate seniors on emergency preparedness through their program Senior PREP. Residents in McMinnville, Cooke-ville, Crossville, Jamestown, Livingston, and Sparta can expect to find Senior PREP information at Walgreens locations each Senior Day, held on the first Tuesday of every month.PREP stands for Planning and Resources for Emergency Preparedness. The program encourages individuals to organize an emergency kit and an emergency plan, as well as provides resources to aid seniors and caregivers in the planning process. Senior PREP information will be available at Walgreens locations on Senior Day and will include a visual display of items that should be assembled in an emergency kit.
