In continuation of the Visiting Author Series, sponsored by the McMinnville Warren County Senior Center, local author Tisha Emberton will be the guest on Monday, May 22 at 7 p.m. The series is possible through a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission.
The evening will begin with music provided by local musicians Jeff Soule and Teresa Bell. They will perform with their band, “East of Nowhere.” Following their musical presentation, Emberton will read from her book “Dreamers of Metamorphosis Poetry.” She will close with any questions from the group, and a book-signing session.
Emberton is known as “Poet of the Angels,” and a Middle Tennessee native. She hopes her book inspires others through her healing words of wisdom, comfort and guidance. Emberton is a walking testimony and dreamer of dreams and hopes to inspire others with her poetry.
She is a graduate of Carolina School of Broadcasting, owner of Poetic 9 Productions, and co-producer/videographer for BLTV’s “Southern Music Showcase.” She and daughter, Tiffany, reside in Rock Island.
Center director Connie Smith encourages the public to attend.
“We are happy to host Tisha and present her book,” said Smith. “Refreshments will be provided during the event, and there is no admission.”
The Center is located at 809 Morrison Street.
