A grant has been received by the McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center through the Tennessee Arts Commission to present The Visiting Author Series. According to center director Connie Smith, the aim of the project is to bring people of diverse backgrounds and age groups together to experience the pleasure of getting to know about books, the people who write them and how life experiences lead the authors to write and publish their books. The authors chosen will have things to say worth listening to about books, some that put our past in perspective and others that are relevant to current times.
