Registration open for Miss Warren County Pageant

The search is on for the next Miss Warren County as the 2014 Scholarship Pageant will be held Oct. 25 in the Warren County Middle School auditorium at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the pageant will benefit the Queens for a Cure Relay for Life Team in its fundraising endeavor. Organizers report over $39,000 has been raised for the cause.
The pageant is open to girls in grades 9-12 who are currently full-time students in Warren County. Contestants can be enrolled in public, private or home schooled.
The deadline to enter is Oct.  15 with applications to be returned to Kathy’s Bridal and Formal in Plaza Shopping Center. A $45 entry fee is required, and contestants will participate in personal interview and evening gown competitions.
Warren County High School senior Taylor ElGouhary  is the reigning queen,  and will relinquish  her title  and crown to the new queen. Girls who have held the title include Lauren Crothers, Melanie Rush, Glenna Beaty, Bliss Zechman, Olivia Majors, Lacy Pack and Hannah Taylor.
In addition to choosing a queen, four runners-up will be chosen, as well as class beauties representing each class. Also being awarded is the Presidential Award, People’s Choice, Best Interview, Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic, as well as a slate of other recognitions.
