Paul’s Clinic has received a $23,170 grant for sterilization of feral and free-roaming cats from low-income households within the city limits of McMinnville. This grant is funded by PetSmart Charities, the largest funder of companion animal-welfare efforts in North America.“Paul's Clinic is an ardent advocate of spaying and neutering as an effective way to battle the serious community issues of euthanasia and animal abandonment” said Villa Mitchell, founder of Paul’s Clinic. “This grant from PetSmart Charities will enable us to assist individuals in the city of McMinnville who need to have their cats sterilized in order to comply with housing regulations, as well as others who as a result of the economic downturn, simply can’t afford to pay for the surgical procedure.
