A total solar eclipse will take place Aug. 21, and Warren County will be a great place to view the celestial event. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between Earth and the sun, thereby totally or partially obscuring the image of the sun. On Aug. 21, from approximately 12 to 3 p.m., the moon will slowly move between the sun and the Earth, blocking the sun for almost two minutes.
