Miss Country Sunshine Jan. 27

Morrison Elementary School will be the setting Jan. 27 for the Miss Country Sunshine Sweetheart and Teen Sweetheart pageants, as well as the Miss Country Sunshine Pre-Teen Princess, Little Princess, Tiny Princess, Toddler Princess and Baby Show.
Pageants director Robert Farr said the respective competitions are the fundraising arms of the Miss Country Sunshine scholarship pageants and scholarship fund.
Competition for divisions in the baby show, for ages 6-24 months, begins at 12 noon to be followed by the Toddler Princess, ages 25 to 47 months, at 1 p.m.; Tiny Princess, ages 4 to 6 years, at 2 p.m.; Little Princess, ages 7 to 9 years, at 3 p.m.; Pre-Teen Princess, ages 10 to 12 years, at 4 p.m.; and the Teen Sweetheart and Sweetheart at 6 and 7 p.m.
Entrants must be residents of Tennessee and a $25 entry fee should be submitted with the application. A $10 late fee will be assessed after the Jan. 17, 4 p.m. entry deadline. Optional categories of prettiest hair, eyes, smile, dress may be entered for a combined $15 fee.
Farr emphasizes times are tentative and subject to change, and the competition will have no planned rehearsal. Teen competitors must be at least 13 and not more than 15 years old the day of pageant, while Sweetheart contestants must be 16 and not more than 21 on the day of pageant. Formal, floor-length attire is required in these divisions.
