Heritage Alliance holds photography contest
Photo contest winter.jpg
Prepare your best shot of Warren County in the winter, spring, summer or fall for a Heritage Alliance photo contest. Entries can be submitted to Heritage Alliance president Cody Prince at High Funeral Home.

Photographer Robert Frank said, “There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”

Heritage Alliance is seeking to capture the humanity of moments in Warren County with a photography contest, a fundraiser to further the organization’s historic preservation work conducted at the museum and its other efforts.

Hit them with your best shot … of winter, spring, summer or fall. Prizes will be awarded for first place in each category and an overall Best of Show from those four categories. There is a $10 entry fee per category entered.

Rules:

• It must be a picture the entrant took within the last two years in Warren County.

• Only one picture per category allowed.

• It must be printed to 8x10 in size and mounted to an 11x14 white poster board.

• It cannot be matted or framed.

• Name, phone number and email address on the back of the poster board.

The winner of each category will have their picture on a one-of-a-kind ornament, which they will receive. Additional ornaments with the picture will be offered for sale to further the organization’s fundraising efforts. All five winners will have their pictures displayed at Heritage Museum and at the Harrison Cabin in Fairfield Village during Warren County A&L Fair in September.

Submission deadline is July 31. Pictures and $10 entry fee may be submitted to Heritage Alliance president Cody Prince at High Funeral Home on College Street.

Winners announced by Aug. 13. For more information, visit Heritage Alliance of McMinnville and Warren County on Facebook.
