Martin Grissom has been named Tennessee Farm Bureau’s District IV Young Farmer for 2022.

Grissom brought home the honor in the Tennessee Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award contest. He was named this year’s District IV winner based on his farm and financial records from 2021, in addition to his leadership on the farm, in his community and in Farm Bureau.

Martin farms around 500 acres in Warren County with his grandfather. His diverse operation includes row crops, cattle and forage and nursery production. Martin also enjoys educating others about the agriculture industry by holding tours of his farm. His short- and long-term goals include preventing urban encroachment and improving his farm’s infrastructure.

This was the second win for Martin. He was named Tennessee Farm Bureau’s District IV Young Farmer for 2020. He received $200 cash and $1,000 in Tennessee Farm Bureau services.

For this latest achievement, Grissom receives $500 cash and $1,000 in Tennessee Farm Bureau services.
