FCE clubs try taste of Germany
International Day broadens horizons
Several German-inspired desserts were available for tasting at the luncheon. The apple kuchen, fruit tarts and German chocolate cake were a hit with the guests.
International Day is a special day for Family and Community Education Club members as they come together working to educate themselves about a different country annually. This year the country chosen by the global committee was Germany. “It’s the goal to learn about food, industry, climate, landmarks and other interesting facts about the country,” said UT-TSU Extension agent Hilda Lytle.
