Add Farm to Table to the list of events being postponed.

Originally scheduled to take place next weekend, Farm to Table has been pushed back to September with no exact date set at this time, according to Main Street McMinnville executive director Teresa Prober.

Residents looking to enjoy a farm-fresh meal and refreshing drinks to celebrate our local farmers and producers can reserve a spot for the September event.

Farm to Table is offered at the Farmers Market pavilion. That area will be transformed to make an elegant evening offering the bounty produced by local farmers and prepared by local chefs.

“This dinner celebrates the strong interest in our community for healthy foods and supporting small businesses,” said Prober.

Returning to fill the night air with music will be Tanner Hill. Evelyn Taylor Avenue is providing decorations. Renewed Creations and Botanico Inc. are providing a charming background with lighting by the city’s Urban Forestry Department. Tables will be set with beautiful arrangements featuring local, seasonal flowers from Red Poppy Farm.

Local chefs are Collin River BBQ and Café, Juicy’s Wellness Café, Kimmi’s Tea Room, Topz Metro Deli, Vanilla Bean Baking Co., and Bickford’s Country Kitchen.

The Farmers Market will provide freshly picked fruits, produce, and expert advice on delicious recipes and preparations.

Profits from the event will go to Meals on Wheels in the form of Market Money to ensure fresh, healthy food for Warren County’s vulnerable population.

Tickets are $60 per person and available at the Farmers Market office on Wednesdays and Saturdays, or by contacting Chrissy Brown at 931-259-0727 or Prober at 931-506-5335.
