It was a day full of snacks, bounce houses, games, and vendors at the First Baptist Church Fall Festival and Craft Vendor Event.

The front lawn of the church was covered with big bounce houses and slides as well as games and snack booths manned by multiple volunteers. A short walk away were all the vendors and food trucks set up for the day.

First Baptist pastor Jeff Owens said the event went well and they were flooded with more vendors than they had expected.

“So far so good. The weather is absolutely beautiful,” said Owens. “We have a ton of volunteers who are excited to be out here. We have some families starting to show up. We have some vendors. We are overwhelmed with just how many vendors, and I think we have like 50 vendors. Our goal is just throughout the day that the community will just drop in, have a good time, and we can have an opportunity to interact with the community.”

Among the food trucks and other snacks, there was a cotton candy booth and a popcorn booth set up in the middle of all the fun for festival-goers to enjoy. Some of the many games included a ring toss, skee-ball, corn hole, and a mini golf game. The children had three different bounce houses to choose from and there was an opportunity to win sweet prizes during the cake walk.
