The Ethos Children’s Choir, a select children’s choir program that serves students grades 2-6 in Middle Tennessee, will hold open rehearsals on Sept. 8 and 15 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, 365 W. Thompson Lane.
Any students interested in joining the Children’s Choir this year are welcome to attend these open rehearsals with their parents, sing with their friends, and learn what being in a community children’s choir is all about.
The Ethos Children’s Choir will perform around the community during the 2016-17 Season, including two performances alongside the Ethos Philharmonic Orchestra. Students do not need to prepare any audition material and are selected following a low-stress vocal screening consisting of echo games and vocal exercises.
Members of the Children’s Choirs rehearse weekly on Thursday afternoons following the RCS calendar, focusing each week on a fun learning environment that emphasizes good vocal technique, music literacy, and building a lifelong love of good music.
