Tisha Emberton began writing poetry at the age of 6, and attributes her teachers to sparking interest at the young age. “It all began with my first-grade teacher reading Mother Goose rhymes to our class,” said Emberton. “The rhythm in the beat of the poems became like a muse of light in my soul at that age.”
