SUNDAY, APRIL 23

Shady Grove Baptist Church homecoming will be held at 11 a.m. Lunch will follow service. Singing with The Calvary Trio and Mel-O-Tones will be held after lunch.

MONDAY, APRIL 24

The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of McMinnville Housing Authority will be held at the Rebel Hill Community Room. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and is open to the public.

Trinity Baptist Church will hold a revival with Milton Martin April 24-26 from 6 p.m. with special singing nightly. The Caravan Singers will be at the church April 23 at 6 p.m.

TUESDAY, APRIL 25

The 31st Judicial District Adult Recovery Court will hold graduation at 5 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the county government building on Locust Street.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26

A free car seat safety check will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Warren County Health Department across from Three Star Mall. Noon Exchange Club will partner with city Police Department and Fire Department to work the event.

SATURDAY, APRIL 29

The Child Advocacy Center will sponsor an all-you-can-eat pancake fundraiser at Applebee’s from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Cost is $5.

The Gilly Brothers Band will perform at the fundraising dance for the Senior Center on Morrison Street at 6 p.m. Admission is $6. Bring finger food to share.

An auction will be held at Fairview CIC with the return of the Jammers Hee Haw Show with concessions at 4 p.m. and show at 6 p.m. Proceeds go to upkeep.

The Preacher Boys will be at McMinnville First United Methodist Church April 30 to May 3. Services will be held at 7 p.m. each night. A covered dish meal will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday and 5 p.m. Wednesday. A mission assembly will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m.

FCE annual bake sale will be held at Foodland Plus on May 5 beginning at 8 a.m. Proceeds benefit the FCE scholarship fund.

A Relay for Life country ham breakfast will be held at Midway CIC from 7 to 10 a.m. on May 6.

Rabies clinics will be held throughout the county the next couple of months. Cost for vaccination will be $9 per pet. The dates include April 22 and 29 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Town and Country Hospital (668-5151), April 28-29 and May 5-6 from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5:30 p.m. on April 29 and May 5 at McMinnville Animal Clinic (473-4129), April 28-29 and May 5-6 by appointment only at Sparta Road Vet Clinic (668-2393), and McMinnville Animal Care (474-7387) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 28 and May 5 and 8 a.m. to noon on April 29 and May 6.

The Van Buren High School Class of 1961 will hold its annual reunion May 6 at the Landing at 868 Seamons Road in Rock Island at noon. For information, call Gail at 686-2396.

Decoration Day will be held May 6 from 8 a.m. to noon at Trousdale/Jacksboro Cemetery. Donations for upkeep may be made to Teresa Pepper, 2249 Old Well Road, Morrison, TN 37357.

A decoration will be held May 7 at Charles Creek Cemetery to help with upkeep.

The Warren County Health Council will meet May 9 at noon at Warren County Administrative Offices on Locust Street.

Bike blessing Saturday will be held May 13 at Northgate Shopping Center near Big Lots, hosted by Holy Spirit Reigns Chapter 887. All bikers are welcome to come have their bikes blessed. Free food.
