SUNDAY, OCT. 1
Homecoming will be held at McMinnville Church of God on Locust Street with worship at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jeff Page will give the sermon, celebrating his fifth year as pastor. There will also be a performance by a Christian mime group and special singing by the church choir. Lunch after morning service.
Homecoming and revival will be held at New Bybee’s UMC at 10 a.m. with the Webb Sisters singing. Covered dish lunch to follow. Revival services will be 6:30 p.m., Monday thru Wednesday with Benjamin Foust speaking.
MONDAY, OCT. 2
The Warren County Democratic Party will meet at 6 p.m. at Gondola. Featured speaker will be Craig Fitzhugh, Tennessee House Democratic Leader and candidate for governor. Also, all local Democratic candidates will be invited to make brief remarks. All Democrats are encouraged to attend.
TUESDAY, OCT. 3
The McMinnville Lions Club will meet in the community room at the Chamber of Commerce at 6 p.m.
A clothing giveaway will be held at Westwood Church of Christ from 8 to 10 a.m.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 4

A fundraising supper with all the fixings will be held at the Senior Center on Morrison Street at 4 p.m. Cost for supper is $6. There will also be Bingo.
SATURDAY, OCT. 7
A fish fry and gospel singing with The Servants from Ardmore and Hill Road Baptist Church Singers will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at 1137 West Green Hill Road. Fish, burger and hotdog plates all $5. Bring a lawn chair.
The McBride family reunion will be held at Rolling Acres Brethren in Christ Church on Pace Street with covered dish meal at noon. Bring a covered dish.
First Presbyterian Church’s Quilts on the Pew open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the Autumn Street Fair.
A benefit for Lisa Melvin will be held at Word of Life Ministries at 4199 Manchester Highway with a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a chili supper at 6 p.m. and auction at 8 p.m.
Bethel Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold a fall festival at 4 p.m. with a cake walk, chili supper and games for kids with an auction to follow.

First Baptist Church of Smartt Youth Group is holding a cruise-in for a good cause Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is a food fundraiser for underprivileged children. Bring a food item such as mac and cheese, canned soup, juices, canned veggies, fruit snacks, cereal bars, etc. Monetary donation are also accepted and will be used to purchase food.
