The sounds of gospel music fill the crisp autumn air as Dollywood visitors enjoy free concerts during the festive event. Dollywood is decked out in its finest autumn attire, and each day is a picture-perfect opportunity to enjoy the traditions of a Smoky Mountain harvest. Beautiful displays of handmade arts and crafts from visiting artisans will be featured throughout the park.

Cedarwood Pumpkin Patch, McMinnville

Now in its 16th year, Cedarwood Pumpkin Patch offers a hayride around its 100-acre farm, a pumpkin train, hay maze, corn maze, petting zoos, tire city, inflatables, food and more. The country store is a great place to buy all your fall accessories from mums to corn stalks and straw bales.
The Pumpkin Patch is open to the public Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

Amazin’ Acres of Fun, Sparta
This fun place is filled with outdoor activities for everyone. Pick your own pumpkins, feed and pet the farm animals or just come and play. Cow rides, hayrides, activities galore, duck races and acres to explore. Fall activities include hilltop mega slide, tot rocket-kiddie zipline, three corn mazes, pumpkin patch and lots of farm games.

Moonshine Daze Festival
Located in the beautiful hills of Celina, the Moonshine Daze Festival features the Best of Tenn-Tucky Car show, moonshiner still building contest, Kidz Rowdy Range Fun and Games, Hillbilly Purdy contest, Yee Haw karaoke, corn pone eating contest and a fun Beverly Hillbillies look-alike contest. Picking and singing, food, arts and crafts and more will be around the historic Clay County courthouse square. Lots of tasty food items available, and moonshine tasting will be presented by Short Mountain Distillery.

“To Kill a Mockingbird,” the quintessential story of racial prejudice and the struggle for justice in small-town America, comes to the stage by the Millennium Repertory Company at Manchester Arts Center.

Ketner’s Mill Country Arts Fair
This two-day event is filled with shopping, Southern-style food, entertainment and activities for the whole family. The beautiful setting along the Sequatchie River provides a picturesque backdrop to the event, and leaves you feeling like you stepped back to the pioneer days. Artisans demonstrate their crafts, the mill churns our freshly ground cornmeal, farm animals graze in the sun and wagons circle through the trees.

The District Antique Market and Vintage Fall Sale
This event is not just a “barn sale,” but targets serious collectors as well as a market of young buyers from all over the Upper Cumberland and surrounding states showcasing antiques and vintage collectibles. The dates are Oct. 21, 4-7 p.m. ($8); Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. ($5); and Oct. 23, 1-5 p.m. ($5).

Cumberland Plateau 15th annual Pow Wow
Everyone is invited to attend the fun and educational days featuring American Indian drumming, singing, flute players, story tellers, exhibition, intertribal and fun dances, demonstrations and arts and craft vendors. A fun way to learn about American Indians cultures and histories from around the country.
