Erin Cantrell has found the right medicine to excel at Boyd Christian School.A member of the Lady Bronco basketball team, Erin has been involved with the Boyd student council, the National Honor Society, and the Spirit, Beta and Interact clubs.On Friday, Erin was announced as the valedictorian of Boyd’s class of 2017, showing she finds time to excel in the classroom in addition to her other activities.“I plan to attend Freed-Hardeman University and major in nursing,” said Erin, who already has a jump start on her college career. Through the dual enrollment program offered at Motlow, she will have already completed her first year of college by the time she graduates from high school.“I will have 35 of the 60 hours I need to graduate so I’ll be classified as a sophomore,” said Erin.An art appreciation course at Motlow is the only thing keeping Erin from graduating from high school with all A’s. She made a B in the art class.Rhiannon Hoover finishes just behind Erin and has been announced as Boyd’s salutatorian.
