Annual event goes Hollywood

F.C. Boyd Christian School seniors Rachel Campbell and Justin Gault were crowned Homecoming Queen and King in festivities held prior to the Boyd and McClain Christian Academy basketball game.
The theme for the event was “Old Hollywood” as the boys wore black tuxedos, with the senior girls  wearing red formal gowns. The freshmen, sophomore and junior female attendants dressed in black gowns, adding glamour to the event.
Campbell is the daughter of Anthony and Rebecca Campbell, and Gault is the son of Ronnie and Sonia Gault. She is a member of the Lady Broncos basketball team, a member of Interact and serves on student council and yearbook committees. Gault is a member of student council and Interact and is Mr. BCS for 2012-13.
Senior representatives were Sarah Campbell, daughter of Anthony and Rebecca Campbell; Hannah Disbro, daughter of Pamela Disbro Davis and David Disbro; Bailey Gilliam, daughter of Wyman Gilliam and Melody Gilliam; Logan Hartman, son of Steve Hartman and Lisa Turner; Marisa Hillis, daughter of Michael and Lesa Hillis; Ashley Newby, daughter of Willie and Donna Newby; and Will Sullivan, son of Troy and Julie Sullivan.
Chosen as junior attendants were Madison Todd, daughter of Jason and April Todd; and Jake Driver, son of Gary Driver.
Sophomore attendants were Hannah Reed, daughter of Barry and Angie Reed; and Jay Martin, son of Jimmy Carroll Martin and Misty Beth Martin.
Serving as freshmen attendants were Jordan Floyd, daughter of Jeff and Sherie Floyd; and Clayton Painter, son of James and Stacey Kelly.
Homecoming court attendants assisted with the festivities by carrying the crowns, sashes and flowers being presented to the winners. Homecoming court attendants were Bella Stiles, daughter of Brandon and Allison Stiles; Kaizer Hillis, son of Tommy and Holly Hillis; and London Sullens, son of Chris and Tabetha Sullens.
The new king and queen were crowned by former Homecoming royalty, Megan Boren and Brody Fernandez.
The event was organized by Dachelle McVey, who was assisted by members of Student Council and Interact. Decorations for the event were provided by All-O-K’sions and Pioneer Pediatrics.
