Bonner FCE met in the 4-H room on Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. There were six members in attendance. President Teresa Priestley called the meeting to order by welcoming everyone. Brenda Mitchell read from the book “Shaping A Woman’s Soul” for the devotional and closed with a prayer. Members stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll call was conducted by members completing the following statement: When I say tree, I say ____.  Minutes for the December meeting were read by Donna Dunlap. The financial report was given by Linda Nixon.
Mitchell gave a book report, but there were no demonstrations or reports. Nixon and Connie York will be attending the Global Leader training this month. Priestly gave everyone their FCE Yearbook and a sheet giving us the 2018 class schedule for the Crafting Now and Then. Priestley also shared a letter she had received from the TAFCE president. We discussed our menu for the upcoming Visitation Day, which will be March 13.  We decided on barbeque, potato salad, baked beans, slaw, bread and deserts.

Each club will furnish these menu items as well as a drink, with our club furnishing the barbeque.  We discussed having a guess speaker and Priestley will check on this. At our next meeting we will be discussing the decorations.  We also will discuss our next visit to Fannie B’s at our next meeting.

Priestley will be contacting members who were not present and update them of our club’s business.  Members will also be contacted about their gold star amounts and books read in order to complete our year-end reports. Members provided items for the Hamilton Street Activity Center.

We will meet again on Feb. 6 at Priestley’s home. Members volunteered to bring a dish for our noon meal.
We adjourned for a delicious lunch at Dairy Queen.
