The Arts Center of Cannon County presents “Rock of Ages” Aug. 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m.; and on Aug. 14 and 21 at 2 p.m.
Set in L.A.’s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, this jukebox musical tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Aqua Net, lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips last legendary venues.
“Rock of Ages” takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! Featuring songs from Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison, Europe, and more classic rock bands from the 1980s. This show is rated PG13.
This production is directed by Brittany Goodwin with music direction by Tiffany Sweeley and choreography by Matthew Hayes Hunter. The cast includes Hunter, Katie Hahn, John Goodwin, Matt Smith, Scott Shambaugh, Emily Dennis, Blake Holiday, Kyle Williams, Jessica Hunter, Robbie Samms, Savannah Gannon, Christian Powers, Kellie Cunningham, Chloe Lamar, Jessica Warren, John Lenzy House, Tara Thomas, Jenni Lee Merritt, James Bessant, Adam Love, Christian Powers, Kellie Cunningham, Jessica Warren, Chloe Lamar, Robbie Samms, Savannah Gannon, Haley Ray, and Brittany Goodwin.
