4-H members compete for cupcake supremacy

Fourth-grade student Nakira Wescott learned lots of lessons during the cupcake baking challenge. One thing she learned is cupcakes are unpredictable, and they never turn out the same way twice. For her efforts her three cupcakes with whipped cream icing garnered a second place.
Why are cupcakes so popular? It seems they are more popular now than ever, with cooking shows dedicated to the tiny treat, brides using them at their receptions, and families enjoying them at get-togethers.
