SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Sevier County authorities have charged a couple after a Johnson City woman told a startled store clerk she had been kidnapped. Angelia Christine Payne and William Daugherty are charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault, according to The Mountain Press. Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals says Marsha Long escaped from a car trunk and ran in to Floyd's Market on Sunday, clad only in her underwear, to tell a clerk of her abduction and seek help.
