A woman has been indicted for showing a good Samaritan that no good deed goes unpunished, cleaning out the victim as he was trying to do the woman a favor.
The suspect, Tosha Lynn Webb, 28, has been indicted on the charge of felony theft.
Her indictment on the theft over $1,000 count comes after she allegedly went to the victim’s home on Peers Street and asked the victim to go get some medicine for her.
“She said she was sick and asked me to go to Walmart and get her some medicine,” the victim told the judicial commission in swearing out the warrant against Webb. “She said she was too sick to go with me and she would lay on the couch until I returned.”
The victim went to the store to get the medicine Webb had requested. However, upon returning home, he found he had been taken. Specifically the victim said Webb took $2,800 cash from his home while he was trying to help her out by picking up her medicine.
