North Hills Church of God of Prophecy, located at 935 Old Smithville Road, will be holding a revival with a special visit from Rev. Steve Warren on Nov. 15-16 at 7 p.m.
Warren began to establish his roots in the ministry as a small boy in the hills of Southwest Virginia. As a young man at the age of 13, God called him to walk in the ministry. Although the work of God was not new to him, it was not until age 16 God placed upon him the anointing in which he walks today.
From a storefront building to an old funeral home, he began the road of a pastor. Although a pastor for 19 years, his first love is being an evangelist.
In 1993, Warren reached out from his own pulpit and began a TV ministry called “Miracles by Faith” in the hills of West Virginia. He has taken his message behind the iron bars of prison and jail cells, as well as in churches across America.
In 2001, Warren joined Sims Records in Nashville as a recording artist. “Heaven on Her Mind” became a No. 1 song in the Christian Country National Charts in 2004. In that same year, Warren was nominated and chosen as Favorite Male Vocalist at the Music City Gospel Showcase and Convention, which was held in Pigeon Forge.
His song list includes “His Love Ran Down the Cross,” “Somewhere Between Mercy and Grace,” “I’m still Leaning on the Everlasting Arms,” “Banks of the River,” “Those Same Hands,” and “Those Three Old Rusty Nails.”
