Two youths die in crash in Grundy

A former Warren County Middle School student was killed Thursday along with his older brother when they crashed in neighboring Grundy County The driver, Justin M. King, 21, and his younger brother, Jaden Perez, 12, were both killed in the afternoon crash that happened on Cabbage Patch Road in Grundy County where they both resided.According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, the accident happened at 3:38 p.m. Thursday as King was traveling westbound on Cabbage Patch Road in his 2012 Ford MGT. Crash investigators say he was traveling at a high rate of speed when he topped a hill and went airborne.King lost control when the vehicle touched down and ran off the left side of the road. He then slammed into a concrete loading dock. The impact killed both vehicle occupants.Perez attended WCMS last year as a sixth-grader, a school official said.Obituary information for King and Perez is on page 2-A.
