A man who attacked his girlfriend while her infant child was in the back seat of her car will serve seven months in jail and have to undergo a mental evaluation.The man, Arvel Joshua Terry, 24, entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of domestic assault, vandalism and aggravated burglary. He was ordered to serve 210 days of a five-year sentence and make restitution.His jail time comes after he jumped on the hood of the vehicle she was in.“He came out to the car yelling and screaming,” said investigating officer Leilani DeFore. “He then proceeded to jump on the hood of the car and smash the windshield with his fists.”The officer said the enraged boyfriend tried to pull his girlfriend out of the car through the driver’s side window but she was able to roll up the window.
