SPARTA, Tenn. (AP) — Officials in Sparta say an automobile supplier is considering the White County industrial park for a location. According to the Cookeville Herald-Citizen, 200 jobs could be coming to the area. Wallace Austin, president of the Sparta-White County Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport Authority, told airport board members Tuesday night that the park has made the short list for an unidentified tier 1 auto supplier primarily serving Volkswagen.
