A pediatric cancer diagnosis is a devastating emotional blow for parents and likely a long road to recovery for the child.The battle can include surgery, chemotherapy, hospital stays, extended time away from home, and constant concern.Hatch’s House of Hope, located in Chattanooga, is a nonprofit organization that helps families deal with these issues. Local resident Christy Parson just finished a fundraiser that generated $1,800 for Hatch’s House.“This town was awesome about helping,” said Parson. “There are other places like St. Jude’s that does cancer research and Ronald McDonald House that gives you a place to stay, but Hatch’s House is different.
