No papers Friday
Standard-no-paperWEB
The Standard will not be published on Friday, Christmas day.

Finding your Standard box without a newspaper can bring a certain degree of alarm on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday mornings.
But for the next two Fridays it will be by design as the Standard will not publishing editions on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
This will be the third year the newspaper has followed this production schedule.
"There's no school and no government meetings held during this time," said Standard publisher Patricia Zechman. "This gives our employees more time to spend with their families during the holidays at a time when there's not much local news to report. The Standard will resume our normal schedule of three editions per week on Jan. 3."
