The local Applebee's restaurant suffered several thousand dollars in damage just after 11 p.m. Wednesday when a car driven by William J. Black, 39, slammed into its north wall. Black said his foot slipped off the brake and his car hopped the curb as he was sitting in his parking space. No one was injured.
