A 10-year-old boy suffered a broken leg Wednesday night when a heavy stone monument fell on him at Ramsey Park.The victim was taken to River Park Hospital for treatment of a compound fracture (one where the bone sticks through the skin) to his right shin. The accident happened at Ramsey Park off Beersheba Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday while the boy was visiting the park with his grandmother and cousin. The park has a pavilion, walking area, playground and basketball court.His grandmother said the monument, an upright stone marker which weighs several hundred pounds, was blown over on her grandson by the wind.
