McMinnville Mayor Norman Rone is recovering from what was determined to be a mild transient ischemic attack (TIA) which occurred late Sunday night. Also called a “mini-stroke,” the event is a loss of blood flow without acute tissue death. TIA and strokes cause the same symptoms such as minor paralysis or sudden weakness or numbness. Unlike a full stroke, the symptoms of TIA can resolve in a day or a few hours.
